Kent State Saturday plays the second team this week that it wishes it had beaten on the road earlier this semester.
Wednesday the Flashes avenged a 60-50 loss at Bowling Green with an 81-57 win at the M.A.C. Center.
Saturday it’s Northern Illinois, who used a fourth-quarter rally to beat KSU in Dekalb, 81-79, on Jan. 3.
Northern is 2-8 in the MAC. The only other team the Huskies have beaten is Buffalo, which leads the East Division. Overall NIU is 10-11.
Kent State is 4-6 and 11-11 on the season.
